Seattle Center - EMP Museum & Chihuly Garden and glass

Above is from inside the EMP Museum. Below is a view from the west side of the building. It was designed by Frank O. Gehry. The concept for the building was based on the shape of guitars. He cut electric guitars in half and took his ideas from the pieces of the cut guitars, he didn't do a literal translation but very conceptional. A very cool colourful building.

The monorail heads through the building.

Chihuly's imaginative and beautiful sculptures. **Note all pictures are taken from holding the camera over a 7 foot high fence. It was a matter of shoot till I got the right shot, hope you like.

The shot below was the only one I was able to shoot from below the fence think it turned out well.

The space Needle turns 50 this year. It was built for the 1962 world's fair, as well as the monorail that we rode on to get to Seattle Center.
